Laura Hawley is the principal and owner of Ambiance Design, a firm located in Blue Bell, PA that sells and installs custom window treatments. She started the business nine years ago after losing her job of ten years during the economic downturn of 2008. Laura started out using the installation skills she learned while working for the manufacturer. She would take crews of installers all over the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast region installing window treatments at hotels and other commercial sites. Ambiance Design doubled its sales goals in the first year and has grown nearly 700 percent since 2009. Her favorite community service is with Bucks-Mont NARI (National Association of the Remodeling Industry). Laura has participated in several service projects with NARI, including helping to rebuild a damaged Boy Scout camp as well as installing a new roof for a family in need. The project she holds dearest to her heart was for a local disabled Marine veteran. Hawley served seven years in the Air Force and was awarded a medal for her service in Desert Storm.
