With a lifelong passion for sewing she founded Drapery Design in 1991, which started as a workroom to the trade from her basement and eventually grew to a retail showroom within a home furnishings store in Wayne, Pennsylvania. Karen’ s work has been featured in several Vassar Show Houses and has been published in books and magazines such as Traditional Home, Decorator Show Houses, and Designer Kitchens. She received her BS in Design by completing her studies at Drexel University and Philadelphia University. Prior to owning Drapery Design she had a 15 year career in retail management where she held positions of Store Manager, then District Manager, then Director of Training and Staff Development.
