Job Title: Commercial Sales Manager
Type of Position: Full-Time, Benefits Eligible (Medical / Dental / 401K / Profit Sharing / Paid Vacation, Personal Time & Holidays)
Travel:  70% of local travel within the Tri-State area required 
Wage: Commissionable sales with terms negotiable based on experience (Car allowance, company cell phone and laptop provided)

The Commercial Sales Manager will be spearheading a new division of a well established, rapidly growing manufacturer of custom solar protection solutions. This division and new sales position have unlimited growth potential. The Commercial Sales Manager will professionally manage all outside commercial sales functions for the company within the Tri-State area. This role is critical in the growth and development of the overall commercial market sales strategy and in cultivating key commercial accounts in the Tri-State area.
 
The primary functions of this role include developing and maintaining favorable relationships with new and existing clients in order to increase revenue, ensuring that services align with account needs as well as continuously educating customers on new services and products.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify, develop and manage new commercial clients for interior solar shading products
  • Be the point of contact for commercial clients and maintain customer account relationships
  • Specifying and selling a full range of custom shading products
  • Actively pursue new leads and business opportunities for commercial projects
  • Ensure clear understanding and interpretation of client needs, and recommend appropriate solutions, in order to meet sales goals
  • Develop, implement and manage the commercial sales plan and execution of all sales activities relating to the plan as well as forecast sales projections for the year
  • Meet with Architectural & Design Firms to introduce and sell Eclipse products
  • Keep up to date with market trends and ways to stay competitive in the market
  • Help identify and communicate product needs to the sales team
  • Work with our sales and marketing team to ensure that literature and other sales tools support commercial sales
  • Attend and participate in industry trade shows

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently under minimum supervision and to exercise independent judgment based on general guidelines
  • Ability to work under pressure and managing several accounts at once
 
Qualifications:
  • Possesses a network of contacts and resources within the Interior Window treatments industry
  • Excellent  problem solving and customer service skills
  • Professional written and verbal communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Strong computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint required
  • General home construction knowledge and experience working with general contractors, architects and project managers a must
  • Ability to understand and interpret commercial construction documents
 
Education / Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Sales, preferably commercial / corporate clients
  • 5+ years of experience in the of Interior Window treatments industry preferred
  • Understanding of the LEED qualification process and LEED point process for commercial construction
  • LEED AP Accreditation
 
Additional Requirements:
  • A valid driver’s license, state mandated automobile insurance and an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to commit to traveling 70% of the time and several overnights per month
