CWC 2017 Nashville

CWC 2017 Nashville was a success! From classes, to happy hour, to the Market Place, and of course, the WCAA Shindig!

The Market Place was buzzing all day long! The attendees were taking it all in talking to all the vendors looking at the latest and greatest new products. There were so many great vendors at the show. I was excited to see so many of our WCAA Industry Partners participating as well as several new vendors. The Market Place is an important part of the CWC. We love our vendors!

Some of the great products include gorgeous roman shades from Pro Design, LLC. Their Cambria Collection combines woven flax with jute, bamboo, and other natural fibers to create a very unique collection. They have many materials in the popular grey tones.

United Supply Company was showing off their new Select Metal collection. They have added new finishes, finials and café rods, as well as traverse rods in the Select Metal. The traverse rod is the same quality track used in their Select wood line. They also have added French returns in all the Select Metal finishes. The crystal finials are amazing!

Child safety continues to be an important subject throughout our industry. Merrill Y Landis featured their Child Safe Shades. They have cordless and motorized shade products. They have partnered with Rollease Acmeda to use their parts for their motorized shades. The motors have rechargeable batteries and they are lower in price than other motors! The best part…MYL will assemble the headrail kit to spec! They stock all the parts and build to our specifications. Easy Peasy!

Pate Meadows had a beautiful display of valances and draperies created from their pattern collection. They have a new pattern called Robyn coming out soon! It will be a great addition to their beautiful collection. I can't wait to create a valance using the new pattern!

Rowley Company was busy as usual taking orders with their famous “no shipping” charges show special. There were also some cash and carry items available. They had a beautiful display of their drapery hardware, Finestra and Aria. The crystal finials in the Artisan collection are beautiful! Finestra has some very handsome finials to go with their rich finishes.

If you were at CWC, you probably heard the excitement from Bianca Henry when she won the bolt of lining from Hanes Fabrics! Her excitement could be heard all across the Market Place!

The WCAA Rhinestones & Cowboys Shindig was a huge hit! Everyone got in the spirit starting with walking the red carpet, then riding the mechanical bull (that is Bianca Henry), making memories in the photo booth and dancing into the night to the live band.

If you were not able to attend, start saving your pennies so you can attend next year. We are anxiously awaiting to hear where and when CWC 2018 will be!
